Description

Bloomball 1: New Labyrinth: A Beginner's Guide

Rolling a little yellow ball through a maze sounds simple until the floor starts sloping in three directions at once and you realize momentum is not your friend here. Bloomball's whole charm comes from that tension between how cute it looks and how tight the actual navigation gets. Give yourself a few runs just to feel out how the physics handle turns before you start chasing every last bit of Hot Ice tucked into corners. The Barisan Mountains section especially punishes anyone who barrels in without checking their angle first.

Key Combinations

  • WASD or the arrow keys handle basic movement, with the left joystick doing the same job on touch setups.
  • Mouse drag or a swipe on mobile lets you steer without ever touching the keyboard.
  • Space or Enter triggers the speed poison boost when you need a sudden burst through open stretches.
  • Number keys 1 through 4 swap between camera views, handy when a tricky ledge is hiding just out of frame.
  • Left Arrow, Down Arrow, and Right Arrow (or the 1, 2, 3 / A, S, D combo) fine-tune your directional control in tighter spots.

Pro-Level Advice

  • Switch camera angles constantly, not just when you're stuck. A different view often reveals a shortcut you'd otherwise roll right past.
  • Save the speed poison for straightaways instead of curves; using it mid-turn tends to send Bloomball flying off the path entirely.
  • Learn each landscape's quirks individually. The Sand Dunes shift underfoot in ways the Carstenz Pyramid never does, so old habits don't always transfer.
  • Slow down before elevation changes. Momentum carries you further than expected, and overshooting a ledge in the Ring of Fire area usually means starting the section over.
  • Treat every maze as a puzzle first and a race second. Recklessness gets you further half the time, but patience gets you further every time.
